Who we are

ABOUT US

The NGO “Teatralium-UA” was founded on October 18, 2018, with the aim of supporting children with special needs living in orphanages and specialized children’s institutions. Our mission is to foster the development of unlimited potential in children with disabilities and orphans, while also creating a responsible and strong community of benefactors among caring individuals and socially responsible businesses. Over the 7 years of its activity, the organization has provided assistance to more than 30 orphanages and special children’s institutions, and has also helped more than 6,800 orphans and children with disabilities.

For the period from February 24, 2022 to March 31, 2026 within the framework of the “Basket of Kindness” project, the organization provided 1,963 food kits, over 250 hygiene and household kits, 265 school supply kits, 1,850 New Year candy gifts, and more than 1200 Easter sets for children from large families, family-type orphanages, orphans, children with disabilities, displaced children, and those in difficult life circumstances.

As part of the “DiTvoRa” project, 969  events were held to provide psychological support for children during the war with Russia. Friendly communication, attention and care, a sincere desire to understand, support and the ability to listen — all of this is needed to ensure children are not left alone with their fears and anxieties and to help distract them from painful memories and thoughts. We believe these simple but essential efforts gradually help children gain confidence and hope, accelerating their psychological recovery. We aim to instill a love for culture and the arts, spark interest in creativity, help reveal talents, and introduce children to modern career directions.

Also, as part of the “DiTvoRa” project, online animation groups are operating. Children aged 9 and older from the Obolon, Holosiivskyi, Pecherskyi, Darnytskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv, as well as from rehabilitation centers in the Kyiv region, are learning to create animated films: writing scripts, directing, performing characters, selecting music, voicing roles, creating motion design and 2D animation, and editing their cartoons. The debut works of our students are participating in European and international children’s festivals and are receiving international awards and diplomas for their achievements. We continue to involve children from various institutions in this meaningful and engaging creative process.
